It was alleged that Matthew’s client assaulted the elderly complainant causing a broken nose, two black eyes and partial permanent blindness.

The prosecution called evidence from the Complainant and another witness who was present at the time of the incident. After a three day trial at the Central Criminal Court, the jury unanimously acquitted Matthew’s client after deliberating for under an hour.
