Erin McKee, led by Stuart Biggs KC, defended Robert Venables KC in a 9-week trial at Southwark Crown Court, where Mr Venables KC had been accused of cheating the public revenue of almost £2 million. The jury were unable to reach a verdict after nine days of deliberation. The case is due to be retried in 2027.
