PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINE

Professional Discipline

Foundry Chambers has long-standing experience in advising and representing individuals facing action from their professional bodies, and on behalf of professional regulators bringing actions against their registrants.

A substantial proportion of our work is in the healthcare sector, including before the GMC, the GDC, the NMC, the GOC, the GPhC, and the HCPC at all stages of proceedings including interim orders hearings, substantive hearings before professional conduct committees, and on appeal to the High Court. Our members are also able to assist police officers, lawyers, accountants, teachers, financial professionals, architects, and other professionals facing disciplinary action. Some of our members can act on a direct access basis in appropriate cases.

In addition to our work for individuals facing disciplinary action, members of chambers also appear as case presenters for professional regulators and other bodies, as legal chairmen of mixed disciplinary tribunals, and as legal advisors or assessors to lay disciplinary tribunals.
