Alastair Smith secures acquittal for client charged with conspiracy to keep brothels and money laundering
Alastair acted for a defendant acquitted of being instrumental in the running of 15 brothels around London and the South East and conspiring to launder the proceeds through mule accounts. The conspiracy involved the opening of bank accounts and the renting of property, often using false identities as employees of Huawei
Following a five week trial at Maidstone Crown Court the jury acquitted the defendant by unanimous verdicts. Other defendants are to be sentenced on 21st June.
