Mr Kubola pleaded guilty to 6 charges of burglary across 3 restaurants in Mayfair and Belgravia. In the burglaries, high value and rare wines were stolen. The total value of wine and damage caused amounted to approximately £31,000. Mr Kubola, following representations by Daisy, was given the opportunity to hand back some of the wine. In a two week adjournment approximately £6000 worth of stolen wine was recovered. The Recorder of London, HHJ Lucraft KC, agreed with Daisy’s submission that this demonstrated remorse for his actions - a deciding factor in imposing a suspended sentence.
