David Smith prosecuted, for the CPS London North Team, Joshua Mensah for attempted murder.  Mr Mensah armed himself with a knife and lay in wait for a victim in Maidstone Road N11, just before midnight on the 16^th of July 2022.  He then launched a frenzied knife attack on a 50 year old man who was unpacking shopping with the help of his wife and daughter on their front doorstep.  A thorough investigation by the Metropolitan Police amassed CCTV, cell-site and DNA evidence, all of which led to the identification of Joshua Mensah and his eventual conviction by a jury this week.  The defendant will be sentenced in October."
