David Smith, acting for the CPS London [RASSO Unit], resulting in the conviction of a defendant accused of raping his daughter and her friend over a number of years between the ages of 9 years and 13 years of age.  The defendant had a child with his daughter's friend at the age of 12. The sentencing judge described the defendant's behaviour as chilling, calculated and unfathomable.  Having found him to be 'dangerous', the judge sentenced the defendant to a 32-year extended sentence of imprisonment, (of which the custodial term for the lead offence was 24 years' imprisonment).
