Defendants sentenced in attempted murder case prosecuted by Sophie Murray
Sentences were recently concluded for two defendants at Isleworth Crown Court on 8th November 2024 following a trial in December 2022 for two counts of attempted murder, conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a bladed article.
The incident involved a planned, coordinated attack in which the defendants conducted a reconnaissance at the scene two hours before the attack to ensure their victims were present. They then returned and lay in wait for the victims to leave a nightclub. As they did so, the defendants shot and stabbed the first victim and then shot the second victim at point blank range as they were attempting to get into a parked car.
The defendants each received extended sentences in excess of 35 years’ imprisonment.
Sophie Murray prosecuted the case, led by Ken Millett of 18 Red Lion Court. Ken and Sophie were instructed by Liz Lockwood and Paul Jenkins at the CPS.
