Madeleine Pinto defends woman acquitted of stalking MP
Madeleine Pinto represented a woman who was charged with stalking involving serious alarm or distress in a trial that took place between 6 May 2025 and 9 May at Southwark Crown Court, before Mr Justice Johnson. The Crown's case was that the Defendant had stalked her MP over a period of 22 months between December 2022 and October 2024 by repeatedly emailing her staff, waiting outside locations where her MP was holding surgeries for her constituents and refusing to leave, following her to a conference outside London and standing outside her hotel.
The jury unanimously acquitted the Defendant.
Madeleine was instructed by Brett Loveday of Tuckers Solicitors.
