Schoolgirl, aged 14, found guilty of 3 attempted murders in attack with a bladed weapon at West Wales School.
William Hughes KC, leading Helen Randall of Iscoed Chambers, prosecuted a 14 year old schoolgirl for the attempted murder of two teachers and a pupil at Ysgol Dyffryn Amman, Ammanford, Carmarthenshire on 24th April 2024. After the jury in the first trial in October last year had to be discharged in consequence of a jury irregularity, a second trial concluded at Swansea Crown Court on 3rd February 2025 before HHJ Paul Thomas KC and a new jury with the conviction of the girl. The girl, who cannot be named, will be sentenced on 28th April 2025.
