William Hughes QC, leading Hilary Roberts of 9 Park Place, Cardiff and instructed by Nathan Adams of Reeds Solicitors, Cardiff acted for Lee Strickland in his trial for the murder of Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Gary Jenkins at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court. Dr Jenkins was attacked in Bute Park, Cardiff in July 2021 and died of his injuries on 5th August 2021. Strickland and his co-defendants, who included a girl now aged 17, were convicted of Murder having previously pleaded guilty to Manslaughter, Robbery and Assault. Sentence has been adjourned to 25th March 2022.
