Zarah Dickinson led by Louise Oakley KC prosecutes five defendants convicted of murder and other serious offences
Louise Oakley KC and Zarah Dickinson prosecuted a murder trial lasting seven weeks at the Central Criminal Court concerning the shooting of Keanu Harker in a gang motivated killing.
On 26 June 2025, Emmanuel Popoola shot Keanu Harker in the head and chest after chasing him on the back of a high-powered electric bike ridden by his co-defendant, Tayvon Etefia. The killing resulted from a rivalry between two Enfield gangs, the 3x3 gang and the Get Money gang (GMG). After the murder, other GMG gang members bragged about the murder in drill rap videos. They were both unanimously convicted by the jury of murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The jury also unanimously convicted three other defendants (Eliezer Mbaki, Anais King and a 17-year old youth who cannot be named) for perverting the course of justice.
All five defendants are due to be sentenced at a later date.
