Martin Cavanagh was today convicted of murder at the Central Criminal Court.  He strangled his estranged wife, Sophie Cavanagh, having sent her a WhatsApp message begging to sleep with her one last final time for £100.  He managed to persuade her to spend one last day with him by concocting a story that he was wanted for a robbery and was about to go to prison for 2 years.
