Following a 4 week trial at the Old Bailey, Benjamin Waidhofer, led by Philippa McAtasney QC of Furnival Chambers and instructed by Judy Kelman at Lawrence & Co CDS LLP successfully secured the acquittal of his client in a multi-handed murder trial at the Central Criminal Court.

The case, which attracted widespread press coverage due to an alleged gangs background and a ‘revenge murder’, required a forensic analysis of CCTV footage, call data records and a wealth of material that had been disclosed to the defence but not relied upon by the prosecution.  This material, carefully marshalled and presented during the course of the trial, lay at the heart of what ultimately proved to be the successful defence case.

Benjamin is frequently instructed in the most serious of criminal and civil cases involving the utmost factual and legal complexity, particularly in cases which attract a high degree of media interest.  He specialises in defending individuals and corporates alike in all civil and criminal matters and has a formidable reputation for successfully representing individuals and corporates in such matters nationwide.  Any queries about this matter, or any other, ought to be addressed to clerks@foundrychambers.com.
