Bethany Condron appointed Junior Counsel for the Covid-19 Public Inquiry
Bethany Condron has been appointed to the Junior Counsel team of the Covid-19 Public Inquiry by its chair, Rt Hon Baroness Heather Hallett DBE and will support Hugo Keith QC, Lead Counsel to the Inquiry, and Martin Smith, Solicitor to the Inquiry, with the preparation and delivery of the Inquiry’s investigative work. The UK Covid-19 Inquiry has been set up to examine the UK’s preparedness and response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and to learn lessons for the future. She is delighted to have been appointed to such an important Inquiry.
In addition to her criminal and regulatory practice, Bethany has developed a particular interest in public inquiry work. She has been instructed as Junior Counsel to a core participant in the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry since 2018.
