Henrietta Paget and James Gwatkin

Henrietta Paget leading James Gwatkin: Modern Slavery trial concludes

After a seven-week trial at Wood Green prosecuted by Henrietta and James, the four defendants were found guilty of all charges on a nine-count indictment for people trafficking, holding a person in servitude, fraud and money laundering. As the jury found, the complainant had been held in servitude for 5 ½ years, living for much of that time in a shed in the garden. Her identity and bank account had been misused in multiple frauds. The defendants will be sentenced in the New Year.
