Jessica Tate successfully prosecutes £1.6 million cannabis factory.

Jessica Tate instructed by the CPS secured a conviction for producing a controlled drug, namely cannabis. Thames Valley Police discovered industrial quantities of cannabis being grown in a former Tractor Shed close to Imperial College Campus Accommodation.

The large-scale enterprise involved 2,407 plants totalling 133 kilograms. This quantity of cannabis would have resulted in 166,380 individual street deals with a value of £1,663,800.

This was a sophisticated operation that is believed to have linked to Serious Organised Crime. The industrial unit had been structurally adapted for the purposes of the mass production of cannabis, including the fitting of an entire false floor to create a larger surface area for the growth of plants.
