Liam Gregory led Toby Pleming in prosecuting a large-scale drugs conspiracy

Liam Gregory, leading Toby Pleming, prosecuted Amar Afsar, Mohammad Tariq, Adil Hussain, Nadeem Hussain, and Fahad Ali in a large-scale and complex drugs conspiracy at Reading Crown Court. The defendants conspired to supply multiple kilos of heroin and crack cocaine over a period of a year to drug users in Slough. The presentation of the prosecution case required consideration of a substantial quantity of text, whatsapp and telegram messages to establish not only that there was a conspiracy but the roles of each of the defendants within the conspiracy. Mr Afsar and Mr Nadeem Hussain pleaded guilty at the PTPH. Mr Tariq, Mr Adil Hussain, and Mr Ali successively pleaded guilty during the course of the three-day prosecution opening as the messages between the defendants were set out by the Crown and the prosecution case against each defendants was clearly explained.

Liam and Toby were instructed by Jennie Hopson-Hill of the CPS
