Modern Slavery Convictions

After a three month trial at Canterbury Crown Court, prosecuted by Richard Jory QC leading Emma Smith of Furnival Chambers, Petr Makula and his son Mario Makula were convicted of various offences of modern slavery and people trafficking. They received sentences of 8 ½ years and 4 ½ years imprisonment respectively.
