William Hughes QC, representing John Junior Phillips, secured Mr Philips' acquittal of murder after a 4 week trial at Cardiff Crown Court before Mrs Justice Jefford and a jury. Mr Phillips was convicted of the lesser offence of manslaughter. Sentence will take place later this month.
