Overview
Tanya commenced her pupillage in October 2025 and is currently supervised by Rebecca Foulkes.
Prior to commencing pupillage Tanya worked as a paralegal at a top ranked criminal defence firm. Her work encompassed all areas of serious and general crime from common assault to domestic and sexual offences. This included drafting of case documents and assisting in the preparation of complex disclosure arguments. She also gained experience in quasi-criminal matters such as restraining orders, sexual risk orders and sexual harm prevention orders.
Before pursuing the bar Tanya had a successful career as a communications advisor working in the third sector and the civil service. This included 3 years at the Crown Prosecution Service where she worked on matters including victim communications, defendant strategy and disproportionality.
