Daisy Kell-Jones and Gabriella Lewis represented youths defendants, aged 14 and 15, charged with joint enterprise attempted robbery and robbery in the magistrates' court on a certificate for counsel. In the magistrates’ court the defendants were convicted of robbery with the Crown being forced to offer no evidence on the attempted robbery charge. On appeal against conviction to Woolwich Crown Court, they made successful submissions of no case to answer and the youths were acquitted of robbery. The case involved a youth complainant, aged 14, and extensive CCTV evidence. Both defendants retain their good character.
