Mark Seymour, prosecuting on behalf of CPS South East Complex Casework Unit, has successfully concluded the prosecution of two Defendants at Guildford Crown Ct for Conspiracy to Supply Class A & B Drugs and Conspiracy to Produce Class B Drugs. The case which was investigated by the Surrey Police Serious Organised Crime Unit flowed primarily from Encrochat Phone messaging activity in which the Defs had shared pictures of the cutting and packaging of kilo blocks of Cocaine, and from the subsequent discovery of the Def running a commercial Cannabis Farm. The main Defendant pleaded guilty on Day 3 of the trial listing in Jan after damning evidence of attribution was served. On Tues 1st Feb 2022 the Defs were sentenced to 11yrs 4m and 6 yrs 4m respectively.
